GlamLink respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, and who we share it with.
Data We Collect
- Account information: phone number (for SMS verification), full name, and email if you sign in with Google.
- Location: used to show nearby salons and sort them by distance. You may decline location access; some discovery features will be limited.
- Photos: photos you capture or pick from your library, used for stories, your profile/cover picture, and the "AI Studio" virtual try-on feature (hair, makeup, nails).
- Booking data: appointments you book and salons you favorite.
- Push notification token: used only to send booking-related notifications.
- Business data: if you own a salon, we collect its details (name, address, services, staff, hours, photos).
- Support messages: messages you send to our support team in-app.
- Subscription data: when you purchase a subscription through the app store, we receive purchase confirmation and status (active, expired, cancelled) from Apple or Google — never your payment card details themselves.
How We Use Your Data
- To operate core features: salon discovery, bookings, stories, and AI Studio.
- To send notifications about your booking status.
- To improve the app experience and account security.
Third-Party Sharing
- Firebase (Google): for authentication (phone/Google sign-in) and push notifications.
- Google Maps: to display salons on the map and calculate distances.
- Google Gemini AI: when you use AI Studio, your photo is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the virtual try-on result. Per Google's policies for this API, these images are not retained by Google for other purposes.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your Rights
- You may request access to or correction of your data at any time.
- You can delete your own account from inside the app (Profile → Delete Account). Deletion permanently anonymizes your personal data (name, phone number, email, photo), while your booking and review history is kept anonymized so the salons you interacted with don't lose their historical record.
- Salon owners: since deleting your account affects a live salon, please contact us at the address below to delete a business account.
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
